The launch of TNT Sports in July 2023 saw the channel renamed as TNT Sports 4 and because the deal to carry ESPN programming was not part of the transition from BT Sport to TNT Sports, the channel's association with American sports coverage ended, and with it coverage of the NCAA, which was later picked up by Sky Sports in November 2023, albeit with vastly reduced levels of coverage.
In time, the two channels will be brought together under the TNT Sports brand, with fans able to watch top football, rugby, tennis and Olympic sport action all under one banner.

The 2013–14 football season saw the start of Humphrey's live coverage of BT Sport's Premier League programming. As well as hosting live coverage of the Premier League games, Humphrey would also be involved with the new channel's other football programming, working to mould the style of the new football programme.
