English Football League. All televised EFL games are broadcast on Sky Sports, with two games (usually Championship) per weekend broadcast at 20:00 on a Friday and 12:30 on a Saturday. Other games may be additionally scheduled at different times, such as 17:30 on Saturday, 12:00 on Sunday or, very occasionally, 20:00 on a Monday.
From the 1990s onwards the programme's scope of sporting coverage began to diminish as the BBC began to lose major broadcasting sports rights including live Formula One which went to ITV, the FA Cup, England's home cricket test matches, Sunday League cricket, the NatWest Trophy and the Ryder Cup particularly to the then emerging Sky Sports and even lost some rights to Channel 4.
