Fox would reportedly pay around $4 billion over eight years (close to $500 million per year) while Turner would pay around $2.8 billion over eight years (more than $300 million per year).
On 1 August 2013, BT launched its first television channels, BT Sport, to compete with rival broadcaster Sky Sports.
